A CLOSER LOOK: HARO MASTER DMC 26”

BMX has a way of bringing you back. One look at a bike like this and you're reminded of the freedom that came with being a kid—long summer days, neighborhood adventures, and riding simply because it was fun and your only means of transportation.

This Haro Master remake was a rewarding build to photograph and showcase. Featuring subtle custom touches and carefully selected upgrades, it retains everything that made the original special while adding a refined, modern feel with some neon flare for that 90s pop.

And honestly, BMX might be even better as an adult. The 26-inch Haro Master is the perfect blend of nostalgia and practicality—comfortable enough for a cruise around town, yet playful enough to jump a curb and remind you why you fell in love with riding in the first place.

The goal of this shoot was to use light painting techniques to create a dramatic, moody aesthetic that highlights the bike's custom details. By carefully controlling the light, I was able to isolate key features and use precise accents of illumination to make the upgraded components and vibrant finishes stand out against a dark backdrop. The result is a clean, high-contrast image that draws attention to the craftsmanship and color while maintaining a bold, refined look.

While white-background product photography will always have its place, I’m drawn to darker, more cinematic imagery that creates depth, drama, and visual impact. Carefully crafted images against black naturally direct the viewer’s attention to the details that matter most, allowing the design, materials, colors, and craftsmanship to take center stage.

Instead of blending in with traditional catalog-style photography, elevate your products with imagery designed to stand out. Thoughtful lighting and a refined aesthetic create memorable visuals that capture attention and showcase your product in its best light.
